I  glanced this elegant basket of fruits sitting on my daughter dinning table  .Suddenly I felt the urge to paint  it . Instead I registered the moment in several shots . Next day cancelling every plan I pulled out my watercolor book , brushes , and colors . Believe me when you have such urge you will forget every thing around you . That day I missed my lunch . Ops sometimes I even miss my blood pressure  tablets  . Seize your urge and exploit the moment you will never regret it .

Dusk Myth

The mythical tale I have been told in Africa about dusk , is that Satan descent from the sky at twilight covering the sky with his eerie  reddish  colour  . He comes down to  allure us to do wrong doing  . That  is why my mother is keen  fuming  special cent at dusk to drive the devil away .

                         This is my third trial to rescue one of my ruined canvases . It took me the whole after 

           noon to make sense of the composition . Still I am not totally convinced , Anyhow the picture look

           much better than before . I leave it to you to post me a  comment .

Wild sunflowers is my first oil pastel painting on rag . Mixing colors on rag is exciting ,yet not easy . I want you to give me your opinion .

         Sometimes I like to try experimenting  with new mediums . To me oil pastel is an intriguing medium .
It has the feel of oil , while used as a pencil in drawing , which makes me able to control the shape without loosing fluidity .. Instead of paper I used Indian rags  as  canvas .I wanted  the paintings  to be sketches  that I can paint one day . The result is quiet pleasing  .

         Last week I pulled out another ruined  canvas , and started to flush yellow color here 
         and blue color there . Darkening this  side of the canvas or splattering red color on the  
         other . All done by knife , trying to rescue the painting .  The result was exciting .

Hazardously

Hazardously is my last painting. I happen to pull out an old canvas which was completely messed up. Pushing and pulling the canvas around the painting started to take shape. I hope some of you will like it.
